~**~

I have a list of activities I would like to strike off by the time I reach 30 in 6 years time.

I believe strongly in the whole "The Universe will set the path for you" and thus I am writing, I mean typing them out here. By the way, you should watch Oprah to know what I mean. But that episode was like 3 years ago I think.

So here goes:-

I want to

- Scuba dive and swim with the sharks, hopefully ride with one. That is if I don't pass out from the excitement of seeing one.
- Sky dive (parachuting)
- Para sail
-Trek
- Kayak (latest interest)
-Learn photography
-Travel the world - with a purpose too. I hope to make a difference in every country that I step into. A little contribution to society. After all, we are one family of homo sapiens. May be help out in an orphanage, help with the building of a school. I don't know. It all depends on the needs of the country. I am sure that no country, however prosperous, is left spared from signs of poverty.

I also one to be an activist. Well, not an extreme one. I give up on women rights. There are many out there fighting for them. I am gearing towards animals. Yes, they need us more. No one seems to spare much thought for them.

A very selfish world. Imagine, if every country were to reclaim land at the rate that we do, where will our marine life go to? The drains? The toilet bowls in Marina Bay Sands? If we are going to shoot every wild animal that acts out of natural instincts to attack a crazy man who entered its enclosure to instigate it, why keep a zoo in the name of animal conservation? Why the contradiction, seriously. I mean that poor animal was innocent. It was the man who went in, why not shoot him? What, because he was mentally unstable?

Yea, yea, they did not shoot the tiger but tranquilized it instead. BUT they did have the intentions to shoot it right? Why didn't anyone question the authorities? I was one of those quiet fools but no more. It is just not fair.

Oops got way of tangent but just had to get it off my system. It has been reeling at the back of my mind since that particular incident in the zoo took place. So every time I see an animal mistreated, it just stirs the emotions back out.

GOD / Nature made all of us equal. Every living thing has a right to survive on this planet. While it may appear to be the survival of the fittest, let us just stop, think, and do something right for a change. Animals play a huge part in our eco - system. Without them, we don't exist but on the contrary, I believe they can exist without us.

Think about it. Don't you think so?

And yes, having said so much, I am considering going full veg. I have played with that thought many times and I believe that when the time is right, I will let go and fully embrace it. It all started when I read a quote on someone's car that just hit a nerve in my brain. It went something like this: "If you love animals called pets, why do you eat animals called dinner?"

Makes a lot of sense.

Again, it is perspective. And I share it with that driver.

The animals of the world exist for their own reasons. They were not made for humans any more than black people were made for white, or women created for men. ~Alice Walker

When a man wantonly destroys one of the works of man we call him a vandal. When he destroys one of the works of god we call him a sportsman. ~Joseph Wood Krutch
