I played catching today. It must have been a sight to watch. An over grown kid playing with 4 students 3/4 her size. I could not help and honestly did not expect myself to actually do it. To run and be a kid again. And I got hugged by one of my boys with autism and my hand held by another - little things that make everything worth it. As for my mainstream students, I made friends with more of them - and received a bear and flower sticker from one! =) The group has grown not by the 10s but by 2 and I shall not complain. I already had 2 more coming into to join toward the end of recess so I believe tomorrow will be a plus 2 also.
And am not going to hold myself back, to understand a kid, I shall be a kid. My new aim now is to get O accepted in too.
