Been a while since I blogged. Have been a little busy but other than that, life is slowly picking up. 4 months of search has finally ended. Thank God.

I guess my next update will be Friday or this weekend when I get my final school posting so be prepared for a) a HOORAY and b) Ranting (if any) haha. Lets hope for more of option (a). =)

Till then,

I need a break. A trip to somewhere. Somewhere far from this place. This place ironically called home.

I pray for situation to get better so that I would be able to book the next flight out of this country.
At least for the June holidays.

Mentally exhausted physically drained but I am surprised that even then, I am still somehow able to laugh and put up that brave front. I have learned to not whine so much. Life can really toughen us up.

I am proud of myself. =). I have more to learn in controlling emotions but if there is one thing I have mastered somewhat successfully is to not drag a problem everywhere with me. That is, a problem from home is left to be worried at home while a mess in school is left to be settled in school and ya da ya da ya da.

Slow and steady is the key.

Till then, I shall dream a little dream of Switzerland, India and Hong Kong.

The dreams that I will make to come true one day soon.

“Happy are those who dream dreams and are ready to pay the price to make them come true.”

p.s I was told that more and more Singaporeans are moving to Switzerland. My response? : Damn. Double damn.

I hope they do not move to the rural areas. hehe.

ooooh I am so HAPPY! I bought April's issue of Traveller and what was inside? A MAP OF SWITZERLAND!!!! Not just one side, but both sides and its big! size of 2 drawing block? Well, it is big enough for me lah! Plus it has travel tips in it too! Like what to do for those who love nature (ME! ME!!), for those who are into history and those who are into urban designs etc. So cool right? It is sort of like a travel brochure but at the same time, it is not one.

Ok ok, why am I so excited? It is because I have always wanted to go to Switezerland since like FOREVER! It is my dream place for migration! AND I have been buying Traveler since my first pay was cashed into my bank account last year and this is the first time they actually gave a map of country free with its issue ( since I have started buying ) and it turned out to be that of Switzerland! Isn't it meant to be or what????

I was at Vivo City with the blob when we walked pass the National Geographic store and I was wondering whether to get this month's issue or not because I was a little cash strap and yea, that 9 bucks does make a lot of difference and then I thought, heck, lets just go in and see what is on this month;s issue and I shall think about it.

And, so in we went, straight to their Traveler's section and when I picked the magazine up to give it a quick glance, there at the corner of the mag were the words that changed my mind. "Swiss Bliss - Local picks: prime culture, cuisine and more. >> bonus map inside."

No 2nd thoughts, it was straight to the counter. =)

Yes, it said bonus map but I did not expect a pull out! See, like I mentioned earlier, I have been religiously buying Traveler without fail for the past 1 year and I have yet to get any pull outs of what so ever and so I did not expect this!

Okok, I am just excited. It takes little to please me you see. Even a piece of paper with the word Switzerland has kept the smile on my face for the past 4 days. haha.

I just cannot wait to live there one day. ONE FINE DAY. Hopefully not when I am old. Maybe when I am 30? I really want it. PLEASE? I want to live among the mountains with fresh air and minimum technology. Technology scares me.

I know, what a wimp. ;)

p.s Switzerland is also the place where 2 of my most favourite things are made - with quality.

Chocolate and watches.

Need I say more?

I got to make a " mute " talk. That was an achievement on its own. Today, she ran with a big smile towards me when she saw me standing outside her classroom, waiting to pick her up for our one-one session.

The feeling is just indescribable. Plain indescribable.

And all I did was to let her play yesterday and she opened up. That is about it. Play. AND guess what? I played along with her too! Well, the idea of letting her play was actually my CT's. I was told to observe her playing for information gathering purpose but watching her stare at the toys with a blank expression did not give me much of an information so I decided to be a kid too!

And woooow! It was sooo fun! Ahem, being a natural klutz when it comes to making things does help. It allowed me to gel in with her. Well, blurness does have its benefits because me and building/making things are just poles a part so you can imagine her thrill seeing someone older than her actually struggling to make a heart look like a heart and a butterfly to look like one while she on the other hand was working her fingers with so much ease, connecting the disc-shaped puzzles to form "motor-cycle", "car" and "rose". She must have felt superior for that moment. The best part is, they all looked nothing like what she described them to be!

The motor cycle were actually just 3 discs put together in a straight line while the rose was just a clutter of discs put together to look like well, a circle to me. haha. Funny because, while I was using my butter fingers to ACTUALLY make a butterfly, there was a kid just enjoying herself putting the puzzles together randomly to create her "motor-cycles" and "rose".

Yea, perfection is not always everything.

I have to admit she was actually one of my most dreaded kid to work with because I just could not get her to talk one full sentence in a conversation! My questions were either answered with a shrug or a word that barely made any sense to the question and mind you, she has no learning disability of sorts. Just low literacy.

Her smile has really touched me and the sight of her running out of class rather than drag her feet is just so...once again, indescribable. (don't mind the repetition of words because honestly, I am lost for words.).

So yea, the story of my pass two days.

I feel so touched. These pass three months have taught me a lot - in becoming a human.

I even think twice before I waste food. Yes. I have learned a lot. Seeing underprivileged kids fighting for something as insignificant as a piece of plain bun with a piece of hot dog, commonly called hot dog bun is just something I honestly cannot take. It has been almost a month yet, it is something I still see in my mind every time I want to throw edible food remains into the dustbin.

But yup, in time to come, I must not let my emotions take over logic because me being me, it is never a good thing.

For now, I will thank GOD for everything I have, everything I do not have and everything I am going to have in the future to come.

No. of days before I get of here: 26.

By next week, it would be 19 days - I love!

And then it would be 12 and then it would be 5 AND THEN it would be ZERO!!

Oooooohh just pass fast please. Just pass fast! I feel like giving a speech on my last day.

A speech telling the teachers to buck up and do their work properly instead of strutting around in their underwear and flip flops like some third rate GOD-only-knows-what. (in short, skanks.)

Yea, yea, my words are harsh but when you see it, you will know what I mean. They are more winterested in looking fashionable than looking like a teacher. I hope the spirit of courage will take over me on my last day in school. Then I will pick up the mike on the last meeting and give them a good ol' piece of my mind.

I wish. OH I really wish from the bottom of my heart.

The children need this! Seriously.

I know I am just the plankton in the ocean considering I am just a trainee but hey! I have a mind too you know and I have the rights to voice my thoughts out. Oh well, we shall see how things go. Whatever it is, I pray to the BIG fellow from up above that I WOULD NOT GET BACK TO THAT SCHOOL after practicum. Please? Oh Pretty pleaseeeeeeee? Let that 50-50 chance be a 10-90 chance. 10% I will return and 90% I would NOT return. Amen.

=).

I did it! I sucessfully did whatever I set out to do this long weekend break!

I got to:
  • read the whole of vampire diaries book 3 (I know, I sound really childish but the book is a million times better than STUPID twilight!) and 1/4 of book 4.
  • I got to listen to my mp3 and sing songs
  • watch some episodes of glee! on TV
  • and NO laptop at all! I deliberately left my paris in school so that temptation to use it won't get to me. (because I cannot be bothered to use the desktop hehe)
So I am really relaxed now. Like after a long time, I got to do something I have been longing to do for soooo long! Especially, READING. Music is not a problem because I always have it with me. In my ipod, in my handphone so yea, not a problem but books! Aside from text books, I miss reading my juicy juicy thrillers!

Awaiting the good old June Holidays! =)

Just random. Saw some pictures of my growing up years and thought of just posting 3-4 of them up.

Me struggling to climb the spider web-thingy outside my cousin's house.

Cousins from mother's side

The cousins from my father's side (India)

My most favourite picture of me. =)

I remember it was some fashion show in my kindergarten and I won a prize for it. Make up was done by my mother and picture was taken by my father who was a photographer by profession then! (I love telling people that he was and still is a professional photographer! hehe) Nice right? hehe.

Hmm..I wonder if I still look as pretty as that now. ;)
