This is just random. A thought just struck me. How do people stay in a relationship for so long? Especially when it comes to the point of marriage.
Why am I thinking about such things out of the blue when my head is supposed to be buried in assignments?
Well, it started from my trip home yesterday when I mistook a couple to be in a relationship when they were actually just friends and then from there my ever curious mind started to drift on further and now, sitting here alone as I work on my assignment, the question has once again popped into my head.
How do you know the guy is the one to marry? What happens when a few years down the road you meet someone better? I mean there is always someone better right? Ok, maybe through dating you can do some trial and error with the guys you have dated in the past and then you just know that this guy is possibly the right one but when it comes to an arranged marriage? How do you know that guys is for you when you have never even dated before? I really need to know now. haha..who can I go ask? I have a cousin who is going to get married and happens to be an arranged one but unfortunately, I do not have the guts. Not that she is a scary person. It is just that I guess it is a personal matter...right? Who goes around describing the emotions they were having when they meet a guy for the first time and before they know it, they are going to marry that person because some how inside them, they just knew it.
Alright, the more I type, the more questions I have popping out. I better stop. Have more important questions to answer right in front of me in black and white prints. Grr.. Haha..
Adieu!
psst! I'd rather be writing a thousand words here than a thousand words report on disability and special needs. bluek!! Oops! =) Nevertheless, I still love what I am doing!

There are two things I really want to do. Travel and write.
There are so many things I can achieve which just those two. Correction, make it 3 cause I have my DISE cert to add on to.
I feel as if I do not belong here. Everything is just moving too fast, I cannot seem to catch up with the race. I like life to be slow. Peaceful and laid back life surrounded with nature, animals and happy village children. Yes, they may not have all the luxuries our money can buy but they have one thing that our money cannot buy and that is happiness. Despite the hardship they face, they still manage to smile as if they have a thousand gold bars in their pockets and us? We have a roof above our heads, 3 hearty meals a day, clean drinking water and yet we strive for more. A car, a condominum, 10 course meals and what not. Even hawker food is not luxurious enough ( ok, am guilty of that cause I doubt their hygiene..Bluek! )
People say that a rolling stone gathers no moss but have they ever thought for one moment, that if the stone is just going to keep rolling on and on and on...it is just going to end up rolling into a flowing stream and just sinking down down and down where it will finally be stagnant and guess what! It will eventually gather moss! So why not take it slow cause either way, the end result is the same!
Lets slow down shall we? To stop and smell the roses. To play in the rain. To make paper boats and run behind the ice cream man as we chase butterflies.
The ambitions and money making can wait for a while.
Before you think that I am being ungrateful, let me clarify that I am not. I am thankful that I am safe from flesh eating diseases, floods and typhoons and all but with the stress we face and the diseases we get in return, it does not make much of a difference when you look at it.
Don't even get me started on the latest "panty" shorts and skimpy dressing culutre we have here. Uniquely unique indeed. Yuck!
When I do get my chance to travel with my Nikon and note pad in hand, I will capture all the innocence and beauty we are missing and show it to our people and I will tell all the children in their torn shorts and tattered t-shirts that they are truly the luckiest children and they should keep smiling like they are now. Poverty or no poverty because luxury is not everything.
Hmm..maybe I should capture some picture of those yucky women in their under wear and show the children that at least they have that much on their body and the aunty in the picture, though living in a rich country cannot even afford to cover up as much as them.
I like! =).
Stay tuned for my entry on sentosa!
Island Life, Love it!
p.s that is if I am not busy la. ;) Else in the next few days =)
Last year this month I was:
This year this same month I am:
Conclusion? Thank GOD I took that step in quitting my degree. It was not easy but all it took was that one push and I did it. Thank you. You know who you are. Thankfully, my family was also supportive.
Quitting is not always about failures. It is a learning experience. Every failure is a lesson to learn from.
I am glad I found something I am happy with and though the road ahead is not guaranteed to be a smooth one, I am optimistic.“There's only one thing that can guarantee our failure, and that's if we quit.”
Bull shit. ;)
It is good to read through old posts, you see yourself grow.

I am so high from God only knows what.
It must be the rain. The smell, the sound, the strange serenity all around.
Pitter patter. I wish I could run out and play. To be carefree for a day.
The blues they send to meet me won't defeat me
It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me"

After 1 and a half years, I have finally decided to change my blog skin to well, something more toned down. I kind of like the colour combination but the thing that made me decide on this skin were the phrases "Touch The Sky" and "More Than A Dream." The reasons are simple and obvious. I am a dreamer and I love the sky - the stars, the moon and the clouds and this skin has it all well fitted in.
Hope you like it!
And yes, I finally have a tag board. Go leave a message! =)
Adieu!

I am sitting right beside you and talking away to you. About school, about I need a break and I wonder, are you even listening? You seem more interested in telling me about your day, which you never fail to do on a daily basis but what about my turn?
It is always about how you consoled so and so and how so and so said that you are a very nice lady and blah blah blah. Yea, I do not disagree with what your colleagues have to say about you because that is who you really are. But why can't you show the same interest on your own children?Shouldn't it be family before others?
I am still pissed of at the attitude you gave me when I made noise about not having dinner kept for me the other day. I was tired to the bone and hungry like a wolf and yet did not make things any better for me. You actually had the nerves to say it was my fault for not answering the phone when Priya called. Like HELLO!! And who was the one fussing around trying to find something for me to eat and even VOLUNTEERING to heat up the chapati?!! Nisha! And as a mother what were you doing? Pointing the fingers at me.
What is wrong with you seriously? You should be thankful you have 3 obedient and filial daughters unlike other people who have daughters who are going around being a sleaze, drinking and doing stupid stuff in public.
Empty talk. Words that fall on deaf ears.
You are grumbling to me while I am voicing out my frustrations to a non-living thing.
I am counting down to end of assignments. 1 whole month more to go!! *sob!* *sob!* but on the bright side, they are the individual components so the stress wouldn't be as much. I have to only be responsible for Me, Myself and I. =)
Not much has been going on lately except for the fact that my holidays were not exactly holidays. Hmph! I had to go back to school everyday!!!! They just label it as term BREAK when it actually means BREAK from classes for you to complete your assignments. Cheaters. Then again, I should know better. They cheated us the same way back in poly. haha.
Haiz, I have alot to say but just cannot seem to find the right words to say. Words, words, words, easier thought than expressed.
Hmm..maybe I should just go find a banyan tree to meditate. Let my thoughts speak to my soul.
I need a swim. I miss swimming. I need time. I miss freedom. Wait, did I ever have that?
Ala, another random entry. Ok, back to work!
Adieu!

Boy am I traumatized. Like seriously. I feel really sick. My eyes are on the verge of suicide and my mind is screaming murder. Dear BIG guy up there, what is this country coming to?!! Remind me once in awhile that I belong to a part of Asia and not some ang-moh continent.
In just a span of half hour, I saw 3 different types of R21 scenes take place before my poor little big eyes.
While on the escalator down to the platform, I witnessed a co-ed couple kissing and groping as they were riding up and that scene almost made me want to hurl my slippers on to their engrossed beings. They were lucky I was not Xena.
As if that was not bad enough, I had to witness something worse than that. Something that seriously brought bile to my throat. I saw a pair of ladies kissing! BLUEK!! Argh! Just thinking back to it makes feel so woozy. I mean seriously! Whatever happened to Behind Closed Doors! Oh GOD!! It was terrible because both were feminine women. One had short hair and was wearing a blouse with tight black skirt and pencil heels while her partner was a typical wussy looking ah-lian in pink top and panties shorts (just imagine your mother's bamboo pole with clothes on and add in thick make up - scary isn't it?).
When I first noticed them, something already told me that these two were not your typical best friend type of girls. It had something to do with the woman in office wear. She had the aura of a man surrounding her. You know, the kind that says, I am the tough one of the 2 of us, I am macho kind of thing. Ahh..you will know what I mean when you encounter one.
Anyway, I was right with my assumptions because when I sneaked another careful peek at the two of them, they were so deep in their KISSING! Thank GOD the train came just in time to distract me from gawking further because, I would have puked my half digested lunch out.
Alright, too dramatic eh? but I cannot help it. It was a disturbing sight. I thought the the escalator scene was bad, this was even worse. A perfect scene for a nightmare. I mean, it would not have been so bad if the other woman was atleast in pants and not skirt you know, because she had short hair and all.
Ok, now for the 3rd one, wow, come to think of it, I have one scene for each part of my journey. The begining, the middle and the end! Amazing entertainment. Right.
Ok ok, let me get to my concluding story. As I was exiting out of the platform area, a mother and son of about 5 or 6 years, cut my path to walk ahead of me. I wish they didn't. Because the mother was wearing a very tight yellow shorts which was up to her butt cheeks and to add on to it, her shorts were so thin that the outline of her G-string could be seen so clearly!
And her butt! I will spare you the details. All I can say is I will never look at shriveled prunes the same way again. Amen.
What is Singapore coming to? This is not the first time I have seen such acts of indecency taking place right in front of me. I have seen worse ones in trains, buses and even the lifts. What has happened to modesty and self-respect. I mean, the mother in shorts is not deemed as R21 worthy but it is bad enough. I thought mothers were supposed to be role models to their children? What are you teaching your children? That it is ok to go around walking in your underwear exposing what should be covered to the whole wide world?
Disgusting. Argh! Oh wait, I forgot, children are already dressing like that now a days. Why then am I so surprised? Because, if mummys are doing it, why not the children.
I do not even want to dwell on further about the kissing and groping parts. I wish I could take a video next time and request mediacorp to air it on Channel 5 without any censorship. My reason? If they want to do it so openly in public without any shame, why not get paid and have it aired on TV where EVERYONE can watch your public act of love. If you even call that LOVE. HA! shameless creatures.
Hmm..I may just do that the next time. hehe...take a video and request Razor TV to air it. Mwahaha..people like them should be taught a lesson. Hmmph!
I know I am over reacting but hey! We women should have some self respect you know! Don't respect yourself and then let a man use you so cheaply using the name of LOVE just to use you like a tissue paper and when the need for it is gone, you get dumped and become another one of the unwanted trash in the dumpster. For what?!! WAKE UP!!!
Haiz, So much for women power. Women are just becoming dumber. Grr..
