~**~

Doing nothing but lazing around has brought out many wishes and dreams that I would like to have fulfiled sooner than later. As I close my eyes and laze in pure blissful slumber each night, I cannot help but transport myself to places like cambodia, india and many culutre rich wonders of Asia. I want to travel. Yes, this is the upteenth time I am mentioning it but somehow, I just need one trip to satisfy my wanderlust. Just one attempt and I would be quiet. For awhile.

It may seem over the top but while at TIMES bookshop yesterday, a travel book on the state of Kerala actually made my heart skip with excitement as my hands lifted the book for that few seconds of flip through.I actually felt my heart smile and swell in pride. One visit there has just left me wanting to go back for more. They don't call that place "GOD's own country" for nothing you know. The beauty of nature speaks for itself. Calm and serene, I call it peace. Something you don't get over here.

This is how I have planned my future escapade ( if thats the right word to use).

I hope to start with kerala then go down to Hong Kong to visit the Po Lin (Precious Lotus) Monastery - (Lantau Island) and then from there to Cambodia and Thailand, the land known for its smiles. There is more to go, trust me. I want to stay in run a down back packers' hotel, breathe in the smell of the near by fish market. Celebrate noisy festivals with the people and eat the simple food of the commoners. I don't want anything luxurious. The hotels can wait for the day I retire and hear the hinges on my bones creek. Then only will I go for luxury. Then only will I happily empty out every single cent of my savings. Till then I just want to bask under the light of simplicity. Cheap and adventurous.

Soon. Real soon.

p.s a little too lazy to hunt for pictures and quotes so bear with the blend entry. ;)
