My sisters are the cutest. I was just presented a blue and orange polka-dotted eye mask and a bar of toggis chocolate for Teacher's Day. Haha..got me by surprise. I am sooo Happy! =)

Why an eye mask? huh..to stop thinking about them before sleeping and to have a good night's sleep instead. Talk about being thick skinned. haha!. And the chocolate? Easy. I am a choco-holic monster. =) Yum!

Cannot wait to use the eye mask tonight though I must say the chocolate has long gone down the dark abyss simply known as my stomach. ;)

Anywayz, teacher or not, heres wishing all a Very VERY Happy Teachers' Day because we are all teachers to someone if you really think about it. (hmm..when did I become so wise?)

I learned of this song while watching an interview with Hariharan (the guy singing in sanskrit) who also happens to be one of my favourite indian singers. It is a really beautiful song and I like it even more for the fact that it brings in all the religions - Hinduism, Christianity and Islam as one.

I shall not say more and let the song and the lyrics below speak for itself. Enjoy! =)

Krishna nee begane baro Krishna nee begane baro

Darkness coming round And everybody fighting with their brothers

Everybody wants control Don't hesitate to kill one another

So come back as Jesus Come back and save the world

That's all the future Of every boy and girl Come back as Rama Forgive us for what we've done Come back as Allah Come back as anyone

Krishna nee begane baro krishna nee begane baro

Religion is the reason The world is breaking up into pieces

Colour of the people Keeps us locked in hate please release us

So come down and help us Save all the little ones They need a teacher And you are the only one We can rely on To build a better world

A world that's for children A world that's for everyone

Krishna nee begane baro Krishna nee begane baro

Time is the healer Time moves on Time don't wait for anyone

You tell you'll be back But that will take some time I'm waiting... Come back as Jesus

Come back and save the world We need a teacher

You are the only one Come back as Rama Forgive us for what we've done Come back as Allah Come back as anyone

Krishna nee begane baro Krishna nee begane baro Jesus!

Come back and save the world That's all the future Of every boy and girl Come back as Rama Forgive us for what we've done Come back as Allah Come back for everyone

This morning I woke up to an sms. One that made me smile. It went along something like this - I deleted it by mistake, haiz ): :
"The last time I spoke to you was on your birthday.....I realised I miss you. "

That was from Rekha.

Just a few minutes ago, when

I logged into msn, a window popped up with this:

From Nazeem, one of my better friends from secondary school whom I got to know better in secondary 3 secondary 4. We were the terrorist duo in our class. I have not been in contact with her since my first year in poly and seeing this just made me feel so warm.

Strange isn't it? 2 simple yet heart warming messages on the same day. It makes me feel loved and wanted. A good reminder that no matter how distant you may think you are from someone, deep down somewhere in their heart, there is still a place for the friendship shared.

The 2 messages just brought back so much of wonderful memories I have shared with the 2 of them over the years. The laughter, the mischief and many more.

I just realised something! Coincidentally, these 2 people, though met at different points in my life were actually the 2 that I have played mischief with in the years together!

Nazeem and I used to gang up and irritate the people sitting around us especially the ever hot-tempered Miss Kenny Tiang and thus we were called the terrorist duo of the class.

As for poly, HA! I can write a book for that becuase 10 pages of my blog will never be enough at all. Trust me. ;)
Both of them brought out the fun side of me though I must admit, it was in poly where I became "worse" haha. Haiz. Coincidence. Real coincidence. haha..maybe because no one can pair up as well as me when it comes to mischief making? hehe..kidding.. ego got over me for awhile. Oops!

I am really happy. Somehow, I cannot seem to find the right word to substitute happy. haha.

I have been missing in action from some for awhile but I guess, it is time for some reflection on my side.
I have one problem though, I do not know how I am going to reply to Nazeem. For one simple reason: I do not know how to reply such so called mushy messages because I am not one to express feelings. If I miss someone, I would say I miss the school and expect the person to understand. If I want to say you are the best, I would end up saying "you one of the nicest friend...." You know what I mean? Me no mushy mushy. haha.. I have lost it.
Let me go figure. =)
Adieu!

My entry will be shortened into points for this entry. Am really tired yet am in the mood to just type some updates.

* 3rd day in NIE and so far am enjoying myself but the journey is killing me bit by bit. Am not kidding but wow..it is really draining.

* On my first day, just as I entered the interchange,I saw the silhouette of my sec 3 classmate, Miss sulky. I managed to sucessfully walk pass her avoiding eye contact in the process until the end of my first class whenI bumped into her 2x consecutively.Talk about shit luck. Wait, that is not shit luck. This is shit luck: Pretty face from SIM is in my class doing what she does best. I shall not dwelve further into that for now. Too draggy and it is part of my long stashed away history. But that is Arse luck to be more specific. Got her in my group for tutorial discussion and just tried my best to avoid looking at her face. Grr.. shall use her as my driving force.

*They opened up a degree course for this diploma course which gives me another thing to jump for joy in: When I succeed in coming up in this diploma, I can FINALLY get a local degree. I pray nothing screws it up. Nothing will. No way

* My batch is the first to learn all the learning disabilities unlike in the past where they learn just one. This has opened up many many windows of oppurtunities for us. =) Yea! Once again.

* People are nice so far. Still tuning myself into "making friends" mode. haha.

Thats about it for now. Going to head to lala land now.

Good night everyone!

WAIT! And how could I forget to mention this?! I have a professor who is completly blind! And he is a professor! He holds a PHD and is very active in research and so on. Very inspiring isn't it? If he can push through all the obstacles and come up this far, why can't we right? Jia you!

Update: I forgot to mention my Nikon camera's name. Ahem..its called Kuku belle. ^_^' I don't know whats with me and belles. haha.

I have a tendency to name my gadgets. I don't know if it is meant to be a form of bonding or just purely stupid. I choose the former.

My Nokia 5300 was called Tinkerbelle while my wonderful acer was called Annabelle. I could not think of any name for my creative player so for it, I called whatever that popped into my head when I took it out. No, I do not talk to my things. Not unless, they give me some problems and out of panic and desperation, I start blabbering nonsense to them when obviously, in reality, I am talking to myself. e.g if my laptop hangs while in the middle of a very important assignment, I would screech and say something like this " Nooooooooo not now annabelle!...........ya da ya da" See what I mean? (Seeing it written in words makes me realise how silly it all seems. hehe..oops!)

Moving on, while busy answering to nature's call this afternoon, I decided to relax my brain by coming out with yet another name for one of my newest techie stuff. My Nokia E71. I have since named it.......................Bumble Bee! HAHA..after the initial "B" on my key chain - "B" stands for Big (elder) sister. A gift from my youngest sister for my birthday this year. Thus, B is also for Bumble Bee!

OOooooh..and here is my the name for my newest 1 week old member. My poor Annabelle has gone bonkers after so many failed attempts at trying to revive it back to its old self and thus is now used for low mainteinace work - internet surfing only.

Introducing my new PINK (you read it right) Sony Vaio. My heart is still aching from the colour in which lays buried a very long story which I will keep for a day over coffee when there is no hot topic to discuss about.

Anywayz, it is pink and it reminds be of stupid bimbos and yes, Paris Hilton got dragged into my heated debate over the colour and in honour of her, I have named my VAIO......Drum roll please.

Paris Belle Hilton! ( Though I believe my laptop's chipset has way better functions than that in the brain of our dear heiress).

Yes, go ahead and have a good laugh. =)

Doing nothing but lazing around has brought out many wishes and dreams that I would like to have fulfiled sooner than later. As I close my eyes and laze in pure blissful slumber each night, I cannot help but transport myself to places like cambodia, india and many culutre rich wonders of Asia. I want to travel. Yes, this is the upteenth time I am mentioning it but somehow, I just need one trip to satisfy my wanderlust. Just one attempt and I would be quiet. For awhile.

It may seem over the top but while at TIMES bookshop yesterday, a travel book on the state of Kerala actually made my heart skip with excitement as my hands lifted the book for that few seconds of flip through.I actually felt my heart smile and swell in pride. One visit there has just left me wanting to go back for more. They don't call that place "GOD's own country" for nothing you know. The beauty of nature speaks for itself. Calm and serene, I call it peace. Something you don't get over here.

This is how I have planned my future escapade ( if thats the right word to use).

I hope to start with kerala then go down to Hong Kong to visit the Po Lin (Precious Lotus) Monastery - (Lantau Island) and then from there to Cambodia and Thailand, the land known for its smiles. There is more to go, trust me. I want to stay in run a down back packers' hotel, breathe in the smell of the near by fish market. Celebrate noisy festivals with the people and eat the simple food of the commoners. I don't want anything luxurious. The hotels can wait for the day I retire and hear the hinges on my bones creek. Then only will I go for luxury. Then only will I happily empty out every single cent of my savings. Till then I just want to bask under the light of simplicity. Cheap and adventurous.

Soon. Real soon.

p.s a little too lazy to hunt for pictures and quotes so bear with the blend entry. ;)
