Today, we made mock mutton with toa-gei. A dish we are quite familiar with from past attempts. So we can safely say that it turned out well. Our initial plan was to make fish-papas curry. An authentic kerala dish using coconut it is 2 common forms - fresh milk and fruit. It is rich and a little unhealthy but for something that is not eaten on a frequent basis, why not right? But we lacked some ingredients and due to the time constraints, we decided to leave that for next week.
We hope to go on trying out new dishes and I hope one day, we will learn how to use the right spices for the right type of meat and curry. It is something we are still confused with. With practice, comes perfection. Or atleast, close to that. haha.
Cooking has a therapeutic feel to it. A form of yoga for the soul because it awakens all the senses from deep within. Go try it. =)
cooking is like love.It should be entered it to with abandon or not at all.
