~**~

Yes! Finally I had my first successful lesson with..well, one kid. hahaha..but it is ok, I feel fulfiled for now considering all my near misses in the past weeks. Remember the boy whose background reminded me of myself? Yea, I got him today and I was beyond happy. Also because, I made him talk more than he usually does with the other teacher..Oops! hahaha..seriously, so fierce for what? hehe.. =) cool right? I was a bit naughty, I was supposed to do maths for an hour but end up only about 40minutes before my mouth got itchy and I had to start a conversation with him. He is so adorable!!! haha..oops! I am getting carried away, I am just happy my first lesson was with him. I hope by the time I leave, I would have made some difference in that tiny little being of his.

There is sort of a small release there if you know what I mean, maybe thats why I am put in this line? Lets wait and see what else is to come.

As cliche as this story may be, it was the first thing that popped into my head when I ended my first session. So yea, here goes:

Once a man was walking along a beach. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. Off in the distance he could see a person going back and forth between the surf's edge and and the beach. Back and forth this person went. As the man approached he could see that there were hundreds of starfish stranded on the sand as the result of the natural action of the tide.

The man was stuck by the the apparent futility of the task. There were far too many starfish. Many of them were sure to perish. As he approached the person continued the task of picking up starfish one by one and throwing them into the surf.

As he came up to the person he said, "You must be crazy. There are thousands of miles of beach covered with starfish. You can't possibly make a difference." The person looked at the man. He then stooped down and pick up one more starfish and threw it back into the ocean. He turned back to the man and said, "It sure made a difference to that one!"
