~*animals and me*~

I was looking through my reflections from last night and I realised most of my points had animals and children and it brought back memories of my childhood.I would lie in bed at night and imagine myself to be many things.

One day I was a doctor rushing to save people from "bad" diseases.(inspired by ER and my doctor aunty)The next,a police woman(inspired by the series 999) with her male sidekick(it was a kindergarten "best friend") catching "naughty" people and putting them behind bars.Like those mentioned,I had quite a few interesting adventures to entertain me before I tire myself to slumber.

My grandmother loved animals. She would be the first to sit on the couch whenever a documentary was to be aired in the then TCS channel 5 and I would join her for most of the documentaries. Her favourite episodes? Those featuring elephants, monkeys and yes, dolphins. She loved the playfulness and intelligence of dolphins and never failed to be amazed at the strength and ability of the elephants. As for the moneys, their similarities to human characteristics intrigued her.Put something with snakes on and she would squirm in her seat.haha..haiz,memories.While,I am not a big fan of monkeys,I adore elephants and dolphins which added one more adventure for my growing list of imaginary movies.Little mermaid and her underwater adventrue became Little Divya and her underwater adventure.

I would swim deep into the ocean and kill all the evil sharks to save my dolphin friends and soon had a whole school of them as my best friends and side kicks in mischief.I would narrate all my adventures to my mother the next morning. One fine birthday,(I think it was my 9th birthday),I was given a story book on little mermaid adventure with yours truly as the leading character.I still have it with me till this day.I was beyond happy.Overjoyed.Whatever that best describes what a child would be when she receives what she deems as the best birthday present ever.I got to save the mermaid from all the evil in the underwater kingdom. What more could I ask for? =)

Well, to sum it all up,I believe my love for animals(except those of the reptile breeds) started with my grandmother and her animal documentries and I hope I can work with them one day for I realised they seem to be appearing in most of my WANTS.

So is my Bachelors in Computer Science(digital security) still a goal I want to complete and achieve? The answer is still...yes.This certificate could open up many OTHER oppurtunities whether or not I decide to continue in this field when I graduate. The world can definitely go on with one less IT Personel ;).
